It boasts an elongated stalk, which serves as a sturdy support structure that’s still capable of swaying with the current. 

Habitat: This plant can be found at depths ranging from 200 to 1,000 meters (660 to 3,300 feet), where dim light penetrates the water column. This plant tends to favor areas with strong ocean currents. It attaches itself to rocky surfaces or drifts freely, utilizing its elongated fronds to glide across water currents.
